Objectives:
To provide all students with the opportunity to explore the use of technology in a safe and supervised environment.
To allow students to engage with the internet and software for the purpose of expanding one’s ability and means of communication.
To appropriately cover all of the TEKS for each individual grade level.
To integrate moral teachings into lessons especially when it comes to using other peoples’ ideas, utilizing software programs, copying materials, safe and appropriate internet use, etc.
PK – Kindergarten: Students at this age will be focused on identifying the parts of a computer & their functions, utilizing the mouse and keyboard properly, opening & closing documents and programs, and utilizing software to support their math and reading objectives.
Students in the PK – K classes will have regular access to the following programs:Academic games that are web-based such as www.starfall.com & www.pbskids.com
Renaissance Learning Suite: Star Early Literacy benchmark reading test online
Free online drawing programs
Microsoft Office Suite (Word & PowerPoint)
Academic games that are web-based such as www.starfall.com & www.pbskids.com & www.poptropica.com (published by Pearson & focuses on problem solving, critical thinking and math skills).

Quick review of materials from previous class
Two Typing Pal activities (activities are in order by skills that need to be mastered)
